Sounds to me like Colt made it, Part of their The 2nd Generation series produced from 1971 to 1982 It included the 1851 Navy 1860 Army with rebated cylinder, 1860 Army with fluted cylinder, 1861 Navy, 1862 Pocket Police, 1848 Baby Dragoon, 1862 Pocket Navy, Third Model Dragoon, Second Model Dragoon, First Model Dragoon and 1847 Walker

Thanks very much Wm. I had heard a gun shop rumor that the second gen Colts where made in Italy. The quality is quite high compared to other Italian stuff but the current Uberti's are very nice. Allan
