Has Uberti reintroduced the Santa Fe Hawken? I saw hints on the old website that they were (about a year ago; it could have been the now-defunct ubertiusa.com), but the uberti.com site does not list it.
Thanks,
Dan

I dont know if these can still be had but they are worth every penny you might pay for them. I have a .53 caliber (marked "54" but using .527 round balls) made in the early eighties and it is by far the most accurate round-ball gun I have ever shot. The last time out I had a 10 shot group at 100 yards that measured 4 inches. Seven of the ten were cutting each other and the others were, 1 high and two (touching) low; due to sighting error on my part, I'm sure. A friend has a 50 caliber and he says he's scared to shoot it for the possibility of wearing it out. His 50M accuracy is 5 shots hidden under a quarter. Both his rifle and my own were imported by Sante Fe Arms, Sante Fe, NM. That was a loooong time ago! ~Muir

Have had my sante fe hawken since thew early '80 and have found it to shoot center as long as I do my part. Although it took me a while to figure out it weren't really a .54! Shoots and loads well with .52 balls. Mine does have a way to long trigger pull....anyone know who makes a replacement stock for these so I can reduce that pull?
