I Waited a long time in my life to buy a O/U shotgun. When I got it home the pinch point between the fore end and the receiver seemed very tight and it was hard to break open the gun. I have put 10 boxes of 2 3/4" shells threw it and have oiled and cleaned all areas - but it is still hard to open. Has anyone got any suggestions or does it take a real long time to break in a o/u shotgun.

I used a light lapping compound on the contact points and worked the action for about an hour while watching tv.
Cleaned it all up, oiled it, and it was MUCH better.
As you idea, Your picture don't very warm and wet. Have much die of bird. I think this isn't only a game.

    - great tip - tried it - worked it with the gun upside down for 10 minutes - cleaned it - reapplied fine diamond lapping compound - cleaned it - oiled it - It is perfect . Thanks a bunch for the tip.
