This post will never make it to the board, but I have to vent a little.

I have the Alcione SX. Wanted to put the Trap single/over barrel from a model 2004 on the receiver. Before I shelled out the money for the barrel, I called Franchi. The girl I talked to said that Franchi has "never offered a Trap model 2004 or 2005" and that they did not have any information on a single barrelled trap gun bearing the Franchi logo. She suggested that maybe someone else made an after market barrel for that gun?, and called it Franchi?

I am sadly disappointed, as I have the receiver, my gunsmith (Kreighoff/Beretta trained) said it looks fine, and is just now finishing the barrel check and fitting to ensure safety.

So, why do they call it customer service? I had to call since they refused to answer three emails over the past week or so about this issue. Nuff said. The gun is fine, works great and is now complete.

Was the 34" trap single barrel just a barrel offering or did it come complete on a gun?

Just the barrel. Found it by viorous surfing and searching. Came from a 2004 Trap Unsingle gun I believe.

what are you trying to do? the trap 2004 is a 1970's model gun i believe...so you are totally wrong in assuming they would be able to tell you if it would work....maybe you should check your info out a little more before you go saying stupid crap...i mean will the radiator from a 2006 Chevy work on a 1972? who knows?....their customer service has always been right on when you ask questions that pertain to the guns they take care of....Franchi has been around for a long time and only recently i think have they fallen under the Umbrella of the current owners....and if you want to put a barrel from a 70's gun on a current frame (a different barrel at that) then there is no way they'd be able to answer...only a gunsmith with it in his hands would know......and that is for most guns out there.....i've talked to several people over the past year about my 712 and they are always very quick to respond and very helpful.....the best CS i have found in the industry.......too bad you are pissed over a question they wouldn't be able answer....
