I bought a Franchi Diamond at Dicks a few months back & so far I've had nothing but trouble with it. (I know I tried to save a few bucks and I got what I payed for)

    Fit & finish

Looking at the outside of the gun it doesnt look bad but it just doesnt fit together very well, The forend rubbed the blueing off the barrel after only a few hundred shell, the gun rattles like somethings loose inside of it. The extractor work, well at least sometimes.

    The wood

The wood looks really pretty nice, but both my forend and my buttstock split after only a few hundred rounds. The gun was 2 weeks old when I noticed a crack in the forend. it was small at first but by the end in the round of clays I noticed the other side of the forend had split as well and that the buttstock had started to crack.

I thought no problem the guns on 2 weeks old I'll send it to Frachi and I'll get it back and it'll all be good.

WOW....was I wrong Franchi has had the gun for over 7 weeks and still doesnt have parts to fix my gun they are waiting for parts from Italy. Take my advice for what its worth but its the worst investment I've ever made in a gun. For whats its worth think about this. I spoke to a customer service manager name Paula at Franchi, she told me that I should be happy that they are fixing the split wood at all because Franchi doesnt usually cover the wood at all.

I'll try and finish my review if the folks at Franchi ever find parts to fix it & get it back to me.

    Good Luck,
    Warbirds

    Warbirds.
    Thanks for the review.
Obviously not all Diamonds are this problematic, or these forums would be flooded with these kinds of posts.
In fact, this is the first major problems I've heard of with the Diamond.

Considering the grief it's put you through, your post seems to be fair and objective.

Paula is a great CS rep., and I'm sure she told you that only because it's true.

The Diamond is a special make for Dick's.
With that in mind, I think I would have tried taking the issue up with them first.

At some point, gun dealers need to take a more active role in the service end of the business.

Sorry it's been such a nightmare.
I'll PM you some information that may be of use to you.
As you idea, Your picture don't very warm and wet. Have much die of bird. I think this isn't only a game.
