Just wondering how many of you folks were using the 712 Raptor. I've always shot Beretta's but thinking real hard about getting a Raptor. Any likes or dislikes from anyone about this gun? Has anyone had any jamming problems? Is anyone shooting reloads thru this gun?

I've had my Raptor for a year now, and I love it. No jams yet, and only one miss feed, on a deformed factory shell, that I should have caught before I loaded it. I'm glad that one didn't feed, it could have been bad. I haven't shot any reloads, but I've shot a wide rang of cheap factory loads, including Winchester, Federal, Fiochi, Remington. Even some very light 1oz #9 shot. and the gun still cycled fine.

I had bought a raptor in december, and the fist time i shot it, it jammed three out of five times.
I have about 400 rounds through it now and it jams less frequently maybe 2 out of 25. I still think its a beautiful gun

To pay that kind of money to have a gun jam 2 out of 25 times does not make much since to me. All you see on this forum and the benelli forum is how the autoloaders do not cycle right. Whats the point of spending that kind of money?

Hey fuzz you are right , but I own 3 autos and don't remember the last time I had a cycle issue .I shoot 100-200 rds a weekend all year round. Franchi 612,Remington 1100 sport, Browning a-5. I do wonder if I'm lucky some times. Yet today I found 2 cracks in my citori stock . O well I figure if I get a splinter I'll fix it then.

Fuzz: You have to remember, most folks don't go looking for a place to post about something that's working just fine. They look for a place to post about a problem their having. You should do a google search about the car (or truck) you drive some time. I don't care what you drive, I garentee you'll find a web site somewhere full of people blasting the vehicle and telling horor stories about the problems they've had with it, and how it's the worst car they've ever owned. But your's might be fine.
