I love my 28 ga, but on a hot dove field, laoding is a chore. I have to press the side bolt release button to release the "flapper shell lifter thing" each time I feed a shell into the magazine. Would altering this mechanically create a dangerous situation? Other autos including my Franchi 912 don't have this limitation.

Sorry dude, but thats the way every one of them regardless of gauge has ever been made. And yes, you will terribly **** ** and ***** ** the whole function of the gun. Not to mention if you dont have any slave pins or knowledge of them, you'll never get it back together once you've taken out the shell latch.

Thanks Wallhanger, I was afraid of that, and no I have no knowledge of slave pins, so I will either learn to cope with it or unload it on somebody else that doesn't know about this design flaw.
