I purchased a used 612. The manual talks about a cut-off lever. It states when the cut-off is engaged the action should lock open at the same time as NOT allowing a shell to re-enter the chamber area. I cannot get my gun to do this. Is there a trick to this that I need to know?

I noticed a small hole on going through the orange side of my safety and then a small gap going up into the triger plate area. Is there suppose to be a lever there? If there is a lever missing, can a person order just the lever without ordering the whole trigger plate assembly?

    Thank you, CN

I recently purchased a new 612 and can not find a cutoff on it. I don't think it has one.
