They sell it at bass pro in gurnee. There very light so when your using 3.5" shells you will need to add weight.
I personally don't use the recoil reducer for 3.5" shells. I'm not trying to be a tough guy here but the 912 being a gas operated gun gives a little cusion to the old shoulder anyhow. There are many diffrent kinds of 3.5 loads too. A 3" 2 oz. turkey load packs way more of a wallop than a 3.5" 1 3/8 waterfowl load. For me when I'm shooting a round like this I'm caught up in the hunt and don't notice the recoil from the hevy loads. I wouldn't want to shoot 3.5" 2 1/4 oz. turkey loads on the skeet range or anything but overall I think the 3.5" rounds kick is fine for hunting situations. If you want to talk about something that needs a recoil reducer, shoot a single shot 10 gauge with a 3.5" turkey loadOriginally posted by Shotgunner:

I don't use 3.5" shells exclusivley but having the option is nice. It's kinda like the 4 wheel drive in my truck......I got it if I need it![]()
Oh yeah by the way to answer the original question, the 912 is a great gun! If you buy one I'm sure you will be more than happy with it.

I shot the 912 last year, yeah it is a light gun but I didnt use the recoil reducer either. The only time I am shooting 3 1/2 is during Goose season so I have plenty of clothing on and no more padding is required for me. I just bought the 612 this year and cant wait to get it out there and try it out. I actually sold the 912 to my uncle with the intent of buying another one but ran across a deal on the 612 I couldnt refuse. I shoot more 2 3/4 and 3 than 3 1/2 anyway...
I chose the 612 myself because with the advent of 2oz 3" Turkey loads and the Hevi shot, Bismuth shot available, I didn't see the need for a 3-1/2" shotgun.
