I purchased an M2000 and the gun is shooting about 8 inches low and some to the right. I got a benelli stock adjustment kit from the gun dealer and just attempted putting it on. It is not making much sense to me so hopefully someone can help me out. Thanks

I have no experience with trying to fit a Stoeger with a Benelli stock adjustment kit. There is a good stock adjuster for $50. It is made by Jones and will probably take care of your problem. Check out the link.

If they are sold out, check out Brownells. Good luck.

I think he's talking about the spacers that go between the receiver and the stock to change the drop.

It's my understanding (told by someone else) that the Benelli kit won't work on the Stoeger.

My gun, when mounted correctly and seeing only the front bead, shoots pretty low also. I have to also work at getting my face that low. So now I just let the gun hit me where it's natural and the problem is solved. Still, kind of weird seeing about 3 inches of rib in front of the bead.

I knew he was talking about the spacers, but didn't think they would fit on a Stoeger. So, since Danny has heard that they won't fit (try it out and find out for yourself, who knows, they might fit), your solution is what I recommended.

A stock adjuster will take care of the drop at heel, as well as other stock fitting problems.

Danny, I'm wondering if you've put your gun on a gun stand/rest to test fire? It seems odd that the gun would should so low that you're seeing 3 inches of rib. It sounds like you're aware of the problem and have compensated for it, just seems odd that it shoots that low.

I've shot it from a rested position (barricade), but not from a bench rest. It's consistantly very low, and a little left too. I thought about adding a spacer between the stock and recoil pad to see if that would put my face/eye where it should be, but have decided against it since it shoots so low.

Do you think maybe it was the choke? I haven't had it long enough to pattern it with other chokes. yet.

The choke shouldn't make it shoot low and to the left. My guess is that your stock doesn't fit you, a problem most folks have. You should check out the following book "Stock Fitting Secrets" by Rollin Oswald. It's a $30 book that will help most folks solve their stock fitting problems. It sounds like you need a stock adjuster to adjust the drop at heel and cast of your stock.

If you bought it new, in my opinion, this is a gun that has to go back to Stoeger.

If you bought it used, well, now you know why the other guy sold it.

If you're stuck with the gun, try adding layers of moleskin to the top of the comb until the gun shoots flat. Also, there is a product called a Cheek-eez pad that might help. You need to raise your eye (which is essentially the rear sight) to get the gun to shoot higher.

This gun is not worth the money you'd spend on putting an adjustable comb on it.

But 8 inches is going to take about a half inch of adjustment to get it to shoot high enough that you can use it.

You have to ask yourself, is this gun worth the effort to get it to shoot right?
