    Hi everyone.

I've searched the forum, and can't find the answer I'm looking for.

It all started with me wanted a double barrel Turkey gun, and trying to determine if I can use the Undertaker Choke Tube(s) (which is super full at .665, instead of the Extra full at .685) with both barrels. After searching a little bit, I thought I would get the Undertaker designed for the M2000 (it's the only Stoeger they mention when searching the Hunter Spec. website), but then from the other posts on this board, I should be getting the ones that fit the Mossberg 500, Winchester and Browning Invector. Hunter Spec indicates this is the same tube, which made sense to me, but they sell a different tube for the M2000.

Basically, what I'm curious about, is are Stoeger tubes not interchangeable between their models? Based on the above, it would appear that the M2000 chokes would not fit a Condor? Anyone know?

Another choke question (different topic); Someone on another forum indicated not to shoot super full on double barrels as the pressure is too great? Does this make sense to anyone?

Sorry for the long winded post.
    Thanks,
    Paul.

You should be getting the ones that fit the Mossberg 500, Winchester and Browning Invector. There are several posts on this forum about Condor chokes, interchangeability, and where to get them.

Condor chokes are not interchangeable with those for the M2000.

0.665 is very tight. I'd worry about blown patterns. If you get one, I'd only shoot buffered loads with copper or nickel plated shot. Then, take it out to the range and pattern it, at least 6 or 8 shots to see how dense your patern really is.

Not sure I understand why a super full choke would behave differently in a double barrel as opposed to other style of shotguns. Did they say why (other than pressure)? Were they implying double barrel barrels or actions are weaker than pumps or semi-autos? I'd disagree with that.

Okay, I get it. I guess I just assumed that the chokes would be interchangeable between all Stoeger products, which is clearly not the case. The interchange chart was very helpful.

I think I may have confused one of the response I had previously received...they indicated they didn't think you could fit two Supper full chokes in an O/U, even if it was a thin walled choke. My response was that I didn't think that chokes were any wider (except for the Undertaker which has a knurled end) than a barrel itself, but I didn't get a response to that.

I am currently using Winchester copper plated lead shot through the .665 (I've even seen some at .660) in my Pump and get great patterns. I wouldn't shoot anything harder than that out of it, though.

    Thanks for your help.
    Paul.
