Shot about 100 rounds today "clays" recoil is brutal!! Also a little hard on the cheek bone. Has anyone installed a limbsaver on their 2000. I know you can get the slip-ons but how would they work if you took off the original pad? I have the synthetic stock. Don't want to change length of stock. Gun is new and worked great using light loads. I dread the thought of shooting a 3 inch this turkey season.

The LimbSaver Model# 10401 will fit the sythetic stock for the Stoeger 2000 as-is. For the wood stock, there are two "knobs" on the side of the pad that goes flush with the gun. These two "knobs" need to be simply filed down a bit (skinnier, not shorter) to fit the wood stock.

Is a perfect fit? No. It overhangs the stock just a hair, but you have to stare at it to notice.

Did it make a difference? I shot 75 rounds at the range after having it put on, and i could have shot another 75 no problem. Today, I can't even tell I shot yesterday.

Best of both worlds: light gun for the field, minimal recoil for trap. What a deal!

Thanks, that is the info I was looking for. As far as the not so perfect fit, the pad on my 2000 from the factory is not perfect, it overhangs a bit. I can tell you that after 100 shots yesterday my shoulder is a little sore. I told my friend that I thought the 2000 would just be my hunting gun. I love the light weight and the gun fits well. I look forward to getting that recoil tamed down a bit.
    Thanks again and Merry Christmas

You can purchase a recoil reducer to help even more. Go to the search key and type in recoil and/or recoil reducer. There are several posts regarding this topic. The limbsaver does help tremendously!

The lighter they are, the harder they kick. Pads help.
    The recoil reducer adds weight.
