I am looking at the Condor Combo Special grade and so I wanted to read up on them. Here I am reading and it seams like there are a lot of people who are having problems with them. I know most people will be on here because they are having trouble so here is the question for all. With all considered would you still buy the same gun from stoeger that you did, or would you put your money elsewhere? I know the price is low so I should not be looking for a top of the line firearm, I just want a dependable gun that always fires, (never misfires).

Richard, I bought a 12 gauge, Competition Condor early this year and have fired 500 or so rounds through it with out a misfire on the range. I haven't had the problem with having to cycle the barrel selecter to fire the other barrel that others here have had. For the $, I'm very pleased. If I had $2,000 to spend I'd buy a Browning or Berretta but thats not going to happen soon. I plan to take it to the duck blind some in the next week or so. I'll let you know how that works out. Interesting question Richard...I'm surprised that there are not more replies....I recently purchased a Condor Supreme in 20 Gauge. My experience with this shotgun has been limited to one trip to South Dakota for Pheasants. I may have gone through 50 rounds but I doubt if it was even that many. My shotgun worked fine...I used the selector to switch which barrel would fire first and could not get it to act up. I would say "YES" to your question....

I used mine for the first time over Thanksgiving for duck hunting. I fired about 25 rounds in two days time and it worked just fine. I purchased this gun specifically for taking out in the marsh and bay as a field gun and it performed as it should.

I bought a Condor last April. I'd never owned a shotgun before and didn't expect to use it much. I chose the Condor solely because of its $280 price tag.

The big surprise for me was how much I enjoy shooting skeet. The Condor should have come with a warning: "Danger, use of this product may be habit forming."

I've fitted a Morgan adjustable recoil pad, done Tim's trick with the safety, and added weight to the stock bolt hole. As modified, the Condor is easily the best $310 I've ever spent.

That said, I'd have gotten a (Franchi) Diamond at Dick's if I had it all to do over again. The beautiful wood and engraving would be worth the extra $400 to me. The Diamond wouldn't shoot any better, though.

Yes I would buy again. Have used the Condor Combo with both the 20 and 12 barrels. I have been out in all kinds of weather, from shirt sleeve to well below zero and have had no problems.

I have the Condor, 28" barrell, 12 ga. I bought it in September. I was not happy with the automatic safety, it would engage sometimes after the first shot and not allow the second shot, so I used Tim's modification to make the safety manual and have not had any problems since. Chokes are readily available, the gun shoots any shells fine. I bought the .410, Little Skeets" insert so that I can shoot .410 shells occaisonally and the gun works fine with these. I think the gun is great value for the ~$300 price. I don't have to worry about marring the finish, if I bought a $2,000 gun it would probably not get used as much and end up as a museum piece.
