I bought a Stoeger Condor 2 years ago, and after reading all the B.S. on this forum, I never wanted to shoot it. I automaticly assumed it would have problems. I went to the trap range today, and shot 2 boxes of shells through this little beaute, with 0 problems. Couldn't hit much with the factory chokes, but still, 0 malfunctions.......No safety problems, no ejection problems, 50 shells fired PERFECTLY. I have to say, I really like this gun.

Call me crazy, but I actually think this 299.99 gun looks great too! I guess im one of the lucky ones.

My Hat is off to Stoeger on this one!

    Waylon,

I've been shooting my Condor (bought in 2000 before they went to inertial reset triggers) and it is like the energizer bunny. I have shot literally thouands of rounds, both target and field, through it without any serious problem (once it wouldn't fire the second barrel, but a cleaning fixed that.)

It is my primary pheasant & quail hunting gun. Light, and points well.

It has been my primary skeet gun for years, but I may be upgrading to a better (read, more expensive) skeet gun soon.

Well worth the $300 I paid for it.

If it broke tomorrow, and the repair was more than it was worth, I wouldn't hesitate to get another one.

Thanks for the reply, Tim. After shooting this weekend I definitely want a set of extended chokes. I love Patternmaster Chokes, but I would hate to spend 140.00 on a set of Patternmaster chokes for this 300.00 gun. However, I would swing 100.00 for a set of Briley's.

    RECOMMEND ANY OTHER CHOKES, ANYBODY?

    Waylon,

    Yes.

Carlsons makes excellent tubes, and less costly than Briley.

I assume the new Condors still use the standard Invector style tubes? If so, see this link and look for their "Sporting Clay" tubes.

    http://www.carlsonschokes.com/wbmw.html $34.50 before shipping.

Also consider Trulock, Hastings, and Colonial Arms.

    Hey guys,

I agree with both of you. I just bought a condor and shot 160 shells through it with no problem.

I had a questin for you though. Did you ever have a problem with the latch which keeps the barrel and the end of the shotgun together. This happened a couple of times for me where after shooting and I **** the gun the barrel and end of the gun would come lose......am I rubbing my hand on the latch somehow? IT was very bizarre.

    rfshakour,

Do you mean the latch that holds the wooden forearm onto the barrel? I'm not sure I follow what you mean.

Yes I meant the latch.....the forearm part would come off and it would fall apart. I thought my hand could be rubbing against the latch whjile shooting so when I reloaded it would come off.....to be honest I don't really hear the wooden forearm piece latch on to the barell....am I assembling it wrong?

I've had a Condor in 20ga for 5 years and have not had a bit of trouble with it. I use it for hunting and shooting clays. It's BS about them not working.

I've got to tell you that my Condor 12 ga is by far my favorite gun. Never a problem and easy to clean. I use it for everything. Pheasant, dove, duck, quail and even geese. It does the job. I am going to buy another one just for a back up
