Go to the Stoeger website FAQ's. The chokes are listed there, with a secret decoder ring to determine which choke has how many notches.

Modified is three notches, full is one notch, and improved cylinder is 4 notches.

Can't help you on the barrel selector, but most people shoot the bottom barrel first, because due to physics, you'll get a tiny bit less barrel jump shooting the bottom barrel than the top, which might allow you a faster second shot.

Generally, if you're hunting and you miss the first shot, the bird is now farther away so you want a tighter choke for the second shot.

I'd go with the improved cylinder for the first shot, and the modified for the second shot.

    Hope this helps.

My Condor doesn't have the selective trigger (mine always shoots bottom barrel first) so I can't help you with your other question.

It's easy to figure out, though.

Go to the range, note which setting the selector is on, put two new shells in, pull the trigger once (while pointed in a safe direction) and see which barrel has the spent shell. Then you'll know which is which. It should say in your owner's manual too.
