Ive had a stoeger 2000 for a few years, I hunt with it on every trip, which is about every day. Ive fired over 25,000 rounds with it, and i cleaned it for the first time today. with the exception of running a cloth down the barrel. I havent even oiled it, and I have yet to have a jam, yet to misfire, and there is no apparent damage to the reciever or the trigger housing, This is the first gun that i have had that i havent needed to clean after every hunt, many of you may think im stupid and my gun is in horrible condition, but aside from some chipping there is no damage. and the gun fires my X-tra hot loads with no problem. this gun is a friggin work horse, its like the Marine of Semi-auto guns

i see that you have been a long time user of stoeger. im looking to purchase a semi 12g any advise? also the stock seems to be a little small. ive looked at maybe changing the stock to accomidate a pistol grip with stock like you would find on a benelli turkey gun. will that swap over or do you have to find a stock for this paticular gun?

ive gone through 3 rear stocks for my gun, i have the factory/original, the Home defence/pistolgrip, and a shoulder witha pistol grip. All the stocks are interchangeable. but it may be good to ask a sales rep. who is familiar with the set up, and ask him/her to attatch what ever stock you want to the gun infront of you. thanks for seeking my advise
