I recently bought a stoeger 2000 and when I went out to shoot it, it kicked harder than either my Ithaca featherlite or my Winchester model 12. I was just wondering if anyone knew about any wercury reducers or good recoil pads for the gun. Thanks.

    welcome wootfan-

do a search on the topic ... there have been a bunch of guys that have posted their specific set-ups.

go as far back as 'any date' on your search.

    good luck.

Mercury recoil reducers produced for Benelli stocks are not compatible with the Stoeger 2000. I have read posts stating that they are, but a trip to a local gunsmith confirmed that Benelli reducers are designed to work with the stock-located spring. In the Stoger 2000, the spring is located in the magazine.
