Had the chance to use my 2000 the past couple weeks. Shoots great, recoil with 3 1/4 dram loads was tough but bearable. Added the recoil reducer and recoil is much milder. i will add a kick eez pad tommorow and shoot again.

First time out on sporting clays field shot 60/100. Not bad for a course that was really tough with bad glare. Even locals (one shooting perazzi, one krieghoff) only shot 74 and 69 respectively. Need to watch the clay and not the lead and I'd hit a few more. The $30 recoil reducer well worth money but watch out for magazine spring retainer, its a pain to remove

Would you please provide details on the recoil reducer? I am thinking about getting one also.

I just received my recoil reducer, from Tom, and I see what you mean about the spring retainer....did you replace the spring with the one supplied and did you also replace the mentioned spring retainer after inserting the reducer????Thanks for any info you can supply..

Yes, I used the supplied spring and reused the spring retainer. If I had to do it a couple more times I would definately need a new one. Whatever you do just go slowly and don't get frustrated. If someone had manufactured a better spring retainer I'd get it just for the piece of mind that I could remove it without destroying it.

I thought about drilling a hole across the top and putting a cotter pin through. Poor design on the factory one. It would not come out with my c-clip tool, so I had to pry on the thing with the screwdriver so I could get the channel locks on it. The good news is the reducer actually works.
