Just bought a new 2000 synthetic 12 ga. Can the front sight be removed? The manual says nothing about it. Do not want to go twisting until I know for sure. Want to replace the white with red or orange.

Replaced the front sight with a flouro red and it works much better than the white. Interesting thing is that I left the same question at the Stoeger web site and they said I should take it to a gunsmith for replacement. How odd.

yea .. they dont want to be responsible for misleading you.. covers their butt if it might have been re-taped and treaded in reverse or if you damage or break it off.

glad it turned out ok .. no pun intended

What screws out, the white peice of plastic. Does it screw out from the front of the barrel or back towards the receiver?
