Should i be able to fire both barrels right after each other without pulling the saftey back then pushing it back up up to fire the top barrel? I got the gun for christmas and use it for trap and skeet shooting.

birddog is correct but myn does the same thing. read condor broken out of the box. dont bother sending it back to stoger they will tell you nothing is wrong with it. i would try to find a gunsmith in your area that specializes in shot guns and take it there and have it adjusted. i have found with myn if you dry fire it try this: take the shells out of the gun, **** the gun then dry fire it leaving the action shut and not touching the safty or the trigger, sharply bump the butt of the gun on somthing (like the floor carpeted concrete is great) as you bump it listen and and feel for a clik or twang in the gun, trust me you will feel it. then pull the trigger again. the second barrel should fire. i havent had the oppertuntity to fire myn for real since i got it back but im shure that an adjustment is in order, you might also concider heaver shot/dram. as far as im concerned that is not the answer i shoot a lot of skeet/trap and i like to use the lightest loads i can. i think tommorow i'm going out to try to shoot some more and try to figger it out. when i got myn back there was a note on the repair order that the gun functioned correctly and it just needed to "shoot in" i feel that this is a cop out for a crappy gun. hence the 289 price tag. i will never buy another one or recomend a condor to anybody. which is a shame because i had a lot of friends that wanted to by one but because of my horrable experience with my gun and the service dept at bennelli, they are looking for a used o/u evan though more expencive.
    good luck

</font>[/QUOTE]I have several of these guns from the old Stoeger and the new stoeger and I get the idea that several folks dont understand the inerthia style system. You have to BUMP the back of the gun when you dry fire it to fire the second barrel because there is no recoil activating the inerthia system. I have hunted with mine for years and concider them to be a great value for the buck.

you should be able to fire both barrels with out doing a thing. why are you dry firing it? no need to do this unless your playin' around and you like the sound of metal to metal. after shooting with it throw some snap caps in it and relieve the the spring tension if your not breaking it down.

if it is not loaded it il only fie one barrell if youwant it to fire the second barrell also you need to smack the butt of the gun for the inersia switch to click. works fine when your sooting loaded ammo...
