I recently purchased a Stoeger 2000. Before this gun I owned 2 Benelli Montefeltros. Long story short I don't have them anymore. When I got home with my new Stoeger I took it apart and cleaned thoroughly. I noticed how similar the parts are to the Montefeltro except for the recoil system. Aside from that very similar BUT NOWHERE near the craftmanship and qulality of the Benelli. I am not complaining since it costs less than than half and as long as it performs I really don't care.

    Two issues though:
    1) My safety has a funky hitch in it. It is not smooth form on to off and off to on. (Maybe due to the composite trigger assebly)
    2) I am noticing NICKS in my receiver at the rear portion of the ejecting area. I think it is due to ejecting shells hitting the alloy receiver.

My first issue I have sent an email to Stoeger with no response. Anyone have any idea?

I bought an M2000 in October. My safety works fine and I haven't noticed any dings or problems with shells ejecting. I did manage to lose my bolt handle last weekend because it wasn't fully seated into the bolt. Watch this carefully. The replacement bolt handle is $27.00.

good luck getting an e-mail response it took me almost 2 weeks to receive a reply and my reply was in the form of a phone call i guess because my e mail was quite nasty. i would give customer service a call and just tell them it is defective and you want an ro# for a return make shure you list all of your complaints and make hard copys of all emails and make shure to record the time and date of every phone call and who you talked to. there seems to be an issue with customer service. it took me over 5 phone calls to get any type of responce from them that was evan remotely what i wanted to here and im still going. i have to make another call tommrow i cant wait to get my phone bill. also make shure you have a back up gun because they have had my condor for a month on the 20th. good luck
