I have a Stoeger Condor Supreme 20 ga. It is only 3 months old with maybe 600 rounds through it. I use the gun for sporting clays only. I have had between 10 and 12 misfires from the lower chamber already. Has anyone else been having a similar problem

These are new shells, no reloads. All the misfires have come from the lower chamber

    Bill,

First let me add that I'm not familiar with your gun mechanically but one thing you may want to check first is the primer strike from the firing pin on your spent shells. Look to see if your getting as good a strike or 'dimple' on both chambers.
In relation to the primer strike, different shot shell manufacturers use different primers. The different primers strike surfaces are recessed at different depths... ie. - Federals primer strike sufaces are set lower or deeper than Winchesters primer strike surfaces. This may have an effect on your firing pins ability to get a good strike causing ignition.

    .....Check this first.

I have a 12 Ga. Condor and I have had the same problem. I only have fired it approx 110 times and have had 3 or 4 misfires also I had the gun fire both barrels simultaneously once. It dosen't happen all the time. I wonder if they would look at it at Benelli and fix the problem or if they know their is a problem?

send it back and complain but i guess you should make shure you get an all important (but NEVER stated in real black and white print) RO # or you may never see your gun with your finger prints or name attached to the serial # ever again

Has any one resolved this misfire issue with Condor Supreme? Mine is the top barrell and it is not the shells or primers because the same shell will always fire in the bottom barrell and I have also taken the same shell and fire it successfully out of other shotgun. I sent his back to Pocomoke once and they supposedly repaired it but must not have fired it enough (if at all) to verify the fix. I love this gun and it is fun to shoot but not if I can't rely on it. I got a tip to remove the stock and check the Screw on the safety. Did this but saw no screw. I sent the gun back to Stoger oncce for this misfire issue and it still does it. There are two springs with a crappy looking "nut" that looks like it adjusts the spring tension for the trigger. I do not see how the safety could be partially engaged by the shock from the first barrel firing. It doesn't appear to even be inertia that switches barrels. The two triggers are cocked and fire in a pre-set order without any capability to select which barrell fires first. Sure would like to get to the bottom of this issue since Stoeger fails to respond to any e-mail or correspondence.

I have had the same problem with the top and bottom barrel at diferent times. When my Condor starts acting up I have to take the barrels and the stock off. Then clean the insides real good. I make sure all screws are tight and relube. Then I am ready to go. I have about 2000 rounds through the gun and need to do this about every 500 rounds or so. I use this gun strictly for trap.

    Default miss fire

I bought a Condor O/U compitition for my son for his trap team and grizz is right you need to do a complete gun flush with the trigger & firing pin area I was told these guns were shiped from overseas and they packed them full of grease to keep them from rusting from the salt water. we have shot 150 rounds thrugh it and have not had a problem yet but as I said we do a gun wash after each 50 round practice and I still get a little grease out of it. After I do the gun wash I put a little lube on it and it works great the next time so far.
