How is Stoeger affiliated with Benelli and/or Franchi? Is Stoeger a sister company to one of these?

It is my understanding that Stoeger is the umbrella company that owns Benelli, Franchi, and the importer other guns such as the Vursan made M2000, plus Uberti handguns.

Stoeger is a gun company in Turkey.
    They are owned by Beretta.
Benelli, Franchi, Uberti, Burris, Sako, Mecanica Del Sarca, and Tikka are also owned by Beretta.
Beretta is one of the oldest corporations in the world, dating back 500 years.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken I think Stoeger is based in Brazil. The early Stoeger double barrel guns, before they were bought by Benelli, all said "IGA" and "E. R. Armantino, Brazil" on them.

They bought (or maybe just bought guns from) Vursan, the Turkish company that makes the model 2000, and the whole works was bought by Benelli, which is owned by Beretta.

The other stuff in Tucker's message is accurate.

But don't be misled. The guns made by Stoeger are NOT on par with the guns made by Beretta, Benelli, Franchi, Sako, or Tikka, all of whcih are a step above, and in some cases two or three steps above. Not sure about the others.

I am sweating after reading such a fine masterpiece of grammatical literature...no wonder my damn gun doesn't work! These folks need to pony up for a better Turkish to English software translation program.
