Training, training, training. I think you don't quite understand everything you think you know about this. Police agencies are moving to this because of lawers, because of crybaby wusses that apply...
Yup, same here. Saw em, liked em, sold before I could get em. They're a hot little item. Guess I'll have to be faster on the draw next time.
While I agree on using full bore ammo, I actually like the thought of shooting through a wall. I actually built one like a trailer wall and one like a standard house wall to see how the ammo worked....
I found the best was using the Hoppes stainless steel tornado brush. You don't need any solvent, bore shine, grit, oil grease, foam, gun scrubber or anything else on it. You use it dry, it won't hurt...
I think you're over thinking it. Sounds like the chamber needs a bit more polishing. Find someone that has a Flexi-hone for a 12 ga chamber. Work it for a few minutes and you should be good to go.
I'm sticking to my guns Tucker. Franchi hasn't made their own barrels or many of any other parts in years. Made in Italy really means "somewhat assembled in Italy" with the majority of parts sub...
Just a little FYI to all out there. The Stoeger 2000 and Franchi I 12 are made by the same people in the same place and niether receiver is steel. They are both aluminium. IMHO I'd rather have the...
On the smoothbore barrel I would use the IC choke and no tighter. I have both types smooth and rifled. The rifiled is scoped with a fixed 4 power and I'll push it to 110 yards. The smoothbore I lose...
No difference in the thickness of the receivers. They are all the same. FYI the M2/SBE2 are drilled and tapped for an 8x40 thread.
Old slug barrels were made by Ithaca Gun, now out of business and shut down (got greedy, stupid, fired all experienced help, made a really bad product that was proudly purchased by Benelli/Stoeger)....
Any winchoke or Mossburg 500 tube will fit in a IGA Stoeger. Personally, I wouldnt waste my money putting a Briley choke in a Stoeger. Kinda like trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear.
Standard Condor...bottom barrel always fires first.
Checkout gunsamerica or gunbroker.com. You can usually find some in there although I havent looked lately.
20 ga is not bad to start out with at all. If they are kind of tall for their age or around 5' with decent arm length, they might be able to handle a full length stock and have something to grow...
Well, that's the way it works. When the hammer is down, it trips the drop lever which in turn trips the shell latch and keeps the shell carrier from comming up. To load the magazine the hammer must...
Yes it is supposed to be that way. The top lever is an indicator of wear. If the barrels were on and shut and the lever was left of center then you could assume that the gun was very worn. The lever...
Top barrel, bottom barrel or after the first shot?Serial number end in 04 or 05? Probably not a hard problem to fix.
Yes it will. Same thread and pitch.
It's not going to cycle them that way. Not the way that gun is designed. If you want to unload the magazine, you're going to have to push the carrier up and manually trip the shell latch on the...
OH MY GOD!!! I"M ROFLMFAO! You're killin me Tuck, dang tears running down my eyes!
Look darlin, Mr. Timb 99 is an educated man...now I really hate him (Doc Holiday, Tombstone). Had to throw that one in. Excellent response and wonderfully put. Chalk up a good one for Timb 99.
I believe quite actually that anyone can own a 14" entry barrel technically. The law reads that you cannot own a short barreled shotgun (without the papers) not a short shotgun barrel. Now, I...
Any decent gunsmith in your area should be able to put on another spacer and pad to fit. There is no factory addition for them. I would try to keep it light though. If you don't, you could have some...
I have never had any problems with my SBE with any shell 1 1/8oz on up no matter the brand. Just a note. The 2000 is just distributed by Benelli. It is in no way designed or manufactured by any...
