Might I suggest measuring the LOP on your Citori and comparing it to the 14.25" LOP listed for the SL. At 5' 9" you might find that a LOP of 14.25 is a little too long for fast mounting....

The manual is wrong. My brother has a 12ga and I have a 20ga. Like your gun, the bolt must be forward in order to assemble the gun. I tried assembling mine before leaving the...

Sawblade,
I couldn't tell any difference. With or without ammunition, the speed of the bolt on the M2 and Affinity seemed to be identical.
My brother liked the Affinity well...

Based on the one I bought and the guns I've seen on the shelf, the polymer stocks are of excellent quality. No they don't look like wood but as you said, wood isn't an option. The...

My brother has a 20ga M2 and I have the Affinity in the same gauge. We have compared the guns side by side and they are quite similar. Both are ID and if it weren't for the longer...

There is a 912 listed on gunauction.com that has a steady grip stock. I don't know if Franchi offered the gun with such a stock or if the owner cobbled one on.
The stock on the...

The 612 and 712 gas guns have no equivalent in the Benelli line. To the best of my knowledge, no one makes after market stocks for them. Unless you can find a barrel on line, I doubt...

You may have a problem. I'd suggest the following:
Take the gun to a safe area. Draw back the bolt and release it. (Make sure the safety is on.) It should lock into the breech. ...
I sincerely hope that the Benelli ID system wasn't your main reason for buying the AL 48 because it does not function on the Inertial Driven system. The AL 48 (I believe it was introduced 1948) is a...

Franchi replaced my first I-12. As I recall, they sent the replacement directly to me. This was a couple years ago but unless the law or company policy has changed, I'd guess they'll...

The black guns are going for $700 here in WI and on the internet as well. Dipped go 50-60 more. I bought a black 20ga last spring. It won't be used for ducks so the black finish will...

Midwest Gun Works lists a 20/28ga butt stock for $175.00. This is a Franchi part and is finished. Macon Gunstocks lists an unfinished stock for $80.00. The unfinished stock will...

I have seen 3" AL 48 12ga guns. However the receivers were steel rather than Aluminum. I don't know if they offered a 3" version in 20 ga. If your gun has a steel receiver, rather...

No play in mine or any of the guns I've handled in various sporting goods stores. If properly assembled the rear of the forearm should lock into the receiver. The polymer forearm is...

You should be able to grasp the bolt handle and pull it from the bolt body regardless of the position of the bolt head. The I-12 was famous for throwing its bolt handle off into space. ...

Hawkeye,
I'm sure you've already done this but just in case you didn't have the time, start by stripping the gun down and cleaning it completely to include cleaning the inside of the...
You aren't doing anything wrong. That is the way the gun is designed. It makes unloading the magazine a pain but there is nothing else you can do. When I first got my AL 48 28ga, I had the same...
Are you using the "O" ring that should have come with the gun? The jams you are describing are typical low power jams for that kind of gas gun. My brother had a 712 that wouldn't run on anything...

I believe they work. The question is how well and is it worth $60-70 to find out. I have the TSA pad on an I-12, I-12 Upland Hunter and Renaissance Field. I believe the pad does a...

The pistol grip cap came loose on my I-12. A couple drops of super glue or a good 2 part epoxy should take care of that problem.
If you actually have play between the barrel and...

I have a 20ga Affinity and it runs perfectly on 7/8 oz loads at 1200 fps. I've even got it to run on 3/4 oz but I had to step up the powder charge. I've put well over 500 rds through...

Unless I miss my guess, you have what was marketed in the U.S. as a "Weather Coat" stock. It is a wood stock but it has a dipped coating on it. It gives the impression of a much nicer...

Magazine extension should be no problem. An outfit called Sure Cycle offers them for just about any make or model. Just search Sure Cycle on line. I have an 2 shot extension on one of...

I'd spray the bolt head and action bars with something like Rem oil and then pat them dry with a paper towel. The same might be done with the locking lugs in the barrel. A touch of...

My Affinity came with 3 chokes (cylinder, modified and full) a shim kit and a bottle of oil. No case of any kind. I bought an aftermarket improved cylinder choke from Briley.
