Loading problems with nova pump

when i load shells into the tube magazine the hatch or door like thing stays down when youpush a shotgun shell into the magazine. It doesnt come back up. When you pull back the action to load a round it just ejects the round out since that door is still up then once u move it back the door returns to its normal spot to where it should be. Any ideas as to why its doing this.

Yup I know....because thats the way its supposed to be. Its designed to stay up until you cycle the action so it doesnt catch your thumb or finger every time you load a shell in the magazine.

no when you calk it it stays upthen it just shoots theshell outof the botoom since the hatch is still up

You may want to field strip it again, lightly lube the pivots and try again. Could just be stuck.
