Was curious to know if Benelli will make a 16 gauge and to hear from current 16 gauge owners as to whether they like the gauge or not? Currently own a M1 IN 12 GAUGE but really consider it a little heavy for long carry. I think a 16 gauge on a true 16 gauge frame would be perfect.

I haven't heard of it but I will keep my eyes and ears open. I think that a 16 gauge is the best all round for bird hunting or any hunting. But that is just my opinion.
If one becomes available then I would get one in a heart beat. Good Luck. Little Mac

I think that remington is going to make a 3inch shell in 16 gauge then sell a 11-87 in 16 gauge 3 inch chamber. It would be a great gun for any field birds and clay pigeons. Benelli and beretta seem to be anti 16 gauge.

I would love to see a Montefeltro or AL 48 16 gauge at 6 pounds with a 28 inch barrel.
the 16 just patterns better than a 20 with 1 to 1 1/4 oz loads.
a Montefeltro, Beretta 391 16 ga or Franchi 616 would be great also.
The only two 16 ga worth buying new right now are the Ithaca 37 pump and brownings O/U
