Montefeltro 12 ga

I purchased a montefeltro 12 ga and have been shoot trap and skeet in preperation for bird season. I noticed that the benelli page sells plugs for these guns, but i loaded mine the other day and it only takes 2 in the magazine and 1 in the chamber. What gives?

3 shells is the limit in TX and I believe most states for migratory birds. That is the reason for the plug. BTW, how do you like the Montefeltro and are you RH or LH?

yes, in TX the limit is 3 for migratory game. the plug is already in the gun, you can remove it and let loose.

I know that that TX limit is three, I was just curious as to why Benelli had the plugs for sell.

The gun is a left hand model, and I like it very much. I have been shooting trap with it for the last several weeks and have been shooting between 20-23. Which is pretty good for me.

Amost every state limits you to 3 shells on public land. So if your shooting on a public clay range watch out.
