How low do you hold?

Just came back from an elk hunt. A buddy shot at a bull about 150 yards above on an approximate 45 degree angle...shooting a 140 grain 7mm rem mag at about 3100 fps...how low should he have held? Anyone know of any tables available for this information?

Hi Greg,

This is a can of worms but:

what was he zeroed at???
what was the elevation???
wind???
weather???
barrel length???
bullet type???

....what kind of boots was he wearing.....sorry about that ... but, there are a lot of factors .... he could've just plain missed the shot or pulled off too..??????? Who knows???????
