Looking for good info on modifications for a Benelli M1 Super 90 Tactical. What can I do to my Benelli without affecting basic functioning? I have been unable to come up with much information on this subject online. The weapon in question is a Pre-Ban Benelli M1 Super 90 with pistol grip stock and factory ghost ring sights. Mods that I would like to do are: 14" entry barrel(possibly worked over by VangComp), SureFire lighted forend, aftermarket tritium ghost ring sights, shorter stock with addition of recoil reducing products(butt pad, mercury recoil reducer?), ammunition carrier on the receiver. Anyone have REAL experience with modded M1's or know of a location that I can find good info on this subject? Any help is greatly appreciated.

the 14" barrel is for LEO/GOV use or FFL's. Unless youre one of those. Take it off your mind.

Check with the ATF again or maybe even talk to your friendly local Class III Dealer. They will be able to tell you all about it. I do thank you, however, for your concern for my well being. tongue.gif

14" entry barrel(possibly worked over by VangComp)[QB]Vang Comp (http://www.vangcomp.com/page32.htm) recommends special barrels by the DVC division (http://www.gggaz.com/dvc/shotguns_vcbbm.php) of GG&G. They also do most of the other mods that you mentioned.
[QB] SureFire lighted forend, aftermarket tritium ghost ring sights[QB]Cal's Sporting Armory (http://www.calssportingarmory.com/Benelli.htm) usually has the most and has it first.
[QB]shorter stock with addition of recoil reducing products(butt pad, mercury recoil reducer?)See above ref to DVC/GG&G
ammunition carrier on the receiver.3 Gun Gear (http://www.3gungear.com/3%20Gun%20Shotgun.htm)
