Can't find a Yellowboy

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone might be able to shed some light on my issue.

Basically, I ordered a 24.5 inch 1866 in 45LC from my gun shop 6 months ago. I even paid in advance. 6 months later...no gun.

I realize that this forum isn't customer service, but I'm hoping someone on it might be in the know.

My shop claims that they can't find a distributor who can get them the gun (I think they use a group named Taylor's), and I do trust them, but this seems really insane.

Is production halted ?

Any advice/hints I can pass on to my shop would be a blessing.

If your local gun shop is only trying one source, they need to branch out. Try Buffalo Arms, EMF, Cimarron.

It is entrely possible that what you want is not available in the US. Distributors are at the mercy of the Italians as far as imports go. I waited 8 months for a pair of pistols from Buffalo Arms. They had to wait on a couple of containers of repros to arrive from Italy, and hopefully what I had ordered was in the shipment (they were).

Thay say that patience is a virtue for a reason. Especially when dealing with imports.
