I was wondering if anyone had a good suggestion for a good goose call. i recently purchased the Alpha 2 from RNT and am very satisfied with it. Has anyone tried any of the RNT goose calls? If so, what do you think of them?

I would recommend checking out Quaker Boy, as this is my favorite Call company. Extremely realistic sounds from every call that I own. Here is the link to the page that can help:

I have not tried any of the RNT calls, wish I could give you some input.
Happy Hunting! :D

unfortunately i haven't tried rnt calls either, I use Zink calls. However, once you've become an accomplished caller it's possible to make a $30 polycarbonate sound like a northern honker, ha. Zink makes cocobolo wood calls that are a little less expensive than acrylics. I have a paralyzer and a little man, love them both and wouldn't trade them for anything else. Give them a whirl next time you're at Gander or Cabelas. Talk the talk!

im not a huge fan of the RNT goose calls i do own three RNT duck calls though. my suggestion for a goose call is a Tim grounds pro super mag.
I love the Foiles StraightMeat Honker

Is there any "high-tech" goose calls that are easy to use that sound more realistic than my $30 (i guess its polycarbonate) 9 inch call? Or would i be better off becoming a better caller with a cheaper one?
If your just into hunting stick with a good cluck and double cluck.......no need for a $150 call...........learn to use what you have and practice a lot.

Just picked up a Bill Saunders Refuge Series HP Canada Honker call. Havent used it out hunting yet but i can say im very pleased with how it sounds. It'll be a good mix up with the big river game call that has a lower sound

We went earlier this season and after the reed broke in our RNT we turned to a Buck Gardner Canada Hammer. It worked great, and it almost seemed to get more of a response than the RNT

Do you guys think that calls should sound more high pitched out of the call than geese sound at a distance?
