Comfortech Gel Recoil Pad for M2

From what I am reading the M2 comes standard with the 14 3/8" recoil pad. Mine seems to be the 14" pad but am not sure how to tell. Does anyone know how to tell which pad is witch?

Measure from the center of the trigger to the center end of the butt pad. (I would guess it is still 14 3/8" LOP)
The newer guns with comfortech stocks that Benelli is sending out have a stock that is 3/8" longer and come with the med (14" LOP) recoil pad.

Slightly older models came with stock 3/8" shorter and the longer recoil pad (14 3/8" pad) Still had a 14 3/8" LOP

Best I can tell they did this so the LOP could be increased by another 3/8" if needed by customers.
They had to make the stock longer as making a longer recoil pad was not feasible.

Confused yet???
