I just got a nice new Condor O/U 28 inch for shooting sporting clays and some trap last week. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they got around it.

I went out and shot 100 targets, and the gun performed wonderfully. But apprently I keep catching, rubbing, or something the latch for the forearm and the barrels when trying to open the gun to reload. The barrels simply just fell off at the one station. Any suggestions of a way to over this or avoid the problem.

I had that happen once. You need to make sure you have the forearm on firmly, and the latch is fully engaged. I make sure, when I assemble it, that I push the thumbwheel closed. Don't count on the little spring in the thumb wheel to fully latch it. It's not a very good design, but frankly, this is an entry level gun. If you do what I suggest, and it still comes apart on you, I'd send it back in to Stoeger. That can be an adventure. Make sure you get a return authorization first.
