Merwin Hulbert replica thoughts

I'm new to this forum. Anyone know if the idea of Uberti making a Merwin Hulbert revolver replica has come up before? I think the right model cloned would be really great.

I'm sure it has been discussed somewhere. There's been talk about it for quite a while.

These revolvers were very precisely fitted and I expect would not be easy to manufacture.

I love the Merwins and would love to have a Pocket Army but I fear even if they were reproduced, there would be so expensive as to almost be cost-prohibitive to buy for the average guy on a typical budget.

Look at the cost of Beretta's Laramie. I'd love to have one of those, too, but can't swing $1000 for one revolver. Too bad.
