This year again is unseasonably warm.

As a result, the local gobblers have already begun strutting and rounding up their hens.

Flambeau has recognized this perennial problem and has devoted several years of research into finding an effective means of stopping the gobblers from wanting to breed too early.

At long last, they have introduced their new Strutstopper decoy.

Strutstopper uses a patented technology which has been proven to make any male's snood go limp in a matter of seconds, and to keep him out of the mood for at least 24 hours.

CAUTION:
Extended use of this decoy may render mature gobblers impotent or in some cases, completely gay!

They've been strutting here for 3 weeks, at least.
I've been watching a group of four mature toms for several weeks. This week, the group is down to three and the boss gobbler is surrounded by hens every morning.

We've got 4 more weeks to wait.
It's not looking good.

15-20 years ago we got light snows and heavy frosts through April.
This Saturday is supposed to be mid 80's.
