We roosted this bird the night before. The next morning we set up about 200 yards from the roost site. We worked him for over an hour. He came in following five hens.He got as close 23 yard at half strut, then I shot him.

I got him with hevi shot 6's 3 inch 1 5/8 oz.
19 pounds, 9 1/2 inch beard, and 7/8 inch spurs.
I think I am going to get him mounted strutting.

Congrads. My opinion is that the strutting mount is one of the best looking mounts and the other would be Gobbling on a Limb mount. Both look great. The gobbling on a limb is especially great if you dont have enough floor space to put a strutting turkey cause its place on the wall out of the way especially if youngens are running around the house. Just a word of advise.

I like the 1/2 strut gobbling on the limb also. Thanks for the advice.
