New Season of ABH

Been watching alot of american bird hunter lately and truly have appreciated watching The General. I know when I learned of his passing a while back I got choked up. Funny how watching someone week to week and we begin to think of them as a friend or like a grandfather or dad dispensing advice and wisdom and humor about hunting. I know for one i will miss The General but I do look forward to the new season with Tom Knapp.

Watched the last bird show again the other night.
I've watched it about 6 times now, and I can't make myself delete it off the PVR.

Knapp has already proven himself more than worthy to myself and to at least one other on these forums.

He's not another General, but he is the one and only Tom Knapp. A true gentleman and an absolute role model for young shooters and ex-young shooters.

The General definitely approved of the choice of Tom Knapp to take up reins of that show. I've no doubt in my mind.

Both are and were great men. Looking forward to the new season as well.

I actually had the pleasure to host the General and his show for our guide service back in 2004. It was a great time, as I have been a fan of his show for years..They were both good friends and did alot of hunting together over years. ( Knapp and The General) Tom Knapp is such a classy guy, not to mention spectacular shooter....


Our show was called " Texas Triple Play" and featured Quail, Duck and Goose Hunting..
