im kind of partal to a cordless drill and an old hopps rod with the handle cut off. also nothing works as good for patches like an old pair of tighty whities (clean of course) or an old pair of cotton long johns (bought me some polyhoosit undies and ill never go back :D )

Nothing cleans a barrel like an open fire and some gasoline.

Can't you clean a barrel too much. I'm thinking with that drill, you'll be scratching the inside of the barrel too much!

I thought all you had to do is push the rod through twice and that would be sufficient to break the debris loose?

Richard, Richard, Richard.

The drill is a necessity. If you want to get all that **** off. You may melt/warp the barrel a little but who cares? Right, Fezman?

So I'll take that is "Yes, you can clean the barrel too much??"

I got my DeWalt 24v hammer drill out the other day, and loosened some debris. Ended up flinging the barrel into next doors yard.

Real Power!

I fling the barrel in the neighbors yard just for fun! I play fetch with my dog using the barrel! We are barrel punishers!

you will realy cringe when i tell ya i use 2+2 carb cleaner and a grey scotch brite pad wrapped around the brush as my first couple of passes down the tube. you obviously never had to clean up powder that was made from bird droppings and ashes and charcoal from my fire place. man it stinks when it goes off but its cheep to shoot
