R1 Scope Mounts

I talked to Garth at Leupold and he told me that their BAR QR bases will fit an R1.

Indeed they will, but the R1 Picatinny rail is slightly tapered. Perhaps CS can tell the exact MOA of the taper.
When I tried STD mounts on mine, I ran out of vertical adjustment.
Just a heads-up, you may need shims.

Leupold aslo has QR rings to fit the slotted factory rail.

Make sure your picatinny rail is facing the proper direction. I beleive it has front stamped in the center of the rail. That should take care of that problem

Burris standard rings work fine

The original statement was regarding using the Leupold BAR QR base.

I used Burris signature series. If you have never tried them they work better than any ring I have ever used. And they do not mark the scope!
