Just bought an Uberti SS 58 Rem., .44 cal., and after taking it apart to clean the accumulated dust and packing grease it appears that the frame is defective. The screw holes were drilled so close to the edge of the frame the screws are only supported on one side, clearly the frame should have never been assembled with the rest of the parts.
Can I use the serial number and/or the number stamped on the inside of the frame and figure out who I need to send it back to? I bought it at a going out of business sale, shop owner passed away last month and they're closing the place up. Any info appreciated;
serial # A3xx28, number 173 stamped on inside of grip frame.

Sft which frame screws are you talking about? There's one as a mainsprimg adjustment screw, one on the triggerguard., one holds the loading lever ram in, and the cylinder pin. One for the trigger and bolt, one for the hammer. One for the grips if you wanna cout um' all.
What part of the frame are you speaking of?
