I have an 1885 High Wall in 45/70 (under repair at this time) and hear they are very accurate rifles. I'll be shooting silhouettes from 100-300 yards and want to get the most out of its accuracy so I figured I would ask here.

I would like to know what are the best sights with positive elevation and windage capabilities. I want to stay under $400.00?

I have heard Lee Shaver and MVA are really good but no one really gave any info other than that.

Thanks all,
Jim

Check with Buffalo Arms out of (Idaho, I think). They should be on the web. They offer all kinds of mid-long range sights, including a Ukrainian-made Soule style easily under your price range that is a very nice sight indeed. I have one of these on my original Remingtion RB and it is excellent.

My friend let me shoot one on his Shiloh Sharps today and I really liked it. The Hadley eyecup was cool and the numbers were easy to read. It may not be the best but, a lot of good BPCR shooters in this area use them. It seems like a good product that will serve my purposes at a reasonable cost.

Pssst, I dont believe my friend knows Parts Unknown is Ukrainian, so let's not tell him...

Thanks for the info you just saved me about $120.00
