Dear group,

Hello. I just recently bought an 1848 Uberti Dragoon 3rd model from a local Gun Dealer and I realized that there is a large 4th screw above the trigger.

In the picture on the Uberti website, it only shows 3 small ones, yet on mine it has a 4th one that is larger that the others ...

Might anyone know what is the case here? Is this is a new addition or is this perhaps an older model that has parts that the new ones do not?

Any help is appreciated!

God bless,
Joshua Smith

Sir--that may be an additional screw to secure a detachable buttstock. I believe some original 3rd models were made and issued with buttstocks. Does your dragoon also have a rear sight just forward of the cylinder?

It does not have a rear sight just in front of the cylinder , however, but at least the screw mystery is solved.

Thank you very much for your help, sir! It is much appreciated! smile.gif
