Hi there,
I own an Uberti Reb Navy 1851 with serial number 08245.
Can anyone tell me how old this one is?
Thanks, Regards

All Ubertis are stamped with a code that tells the year of manufacture. The current system is two letters in a square box--for example BU indicates 2004, BT indicates 2003. Back in the 1960s, they used XXI, XXII, and so on. The next numbering system started with A for the first letter, but not all letters in the alphabet are used for the second letter. I don't have my resource information in front of me, but if you will tell me how yours is marked I can look up the approximate year of manufacture for you.
Actually, the year code applies to all Italian weapons that go through their proof house.
