i am thinking of buying one of these from a friend.
no box...no papers.has been used and carried.
supposedly the issue price was $2000 in 1979..certainly no longer a piece for a serious collector;but coule it be worth $700???

i also own a uberti sample gun that i am considering selling.do have letter from uberti.it is one of a set of 5 1866 yellowboy carbines ,ade and sent to navy arms on 15 december 1965.2 units were sent out to be evaluated by gun magazines.when returned to navy arms the 2 were given to executives of the Ohio Gun Collectors Association (OGCA). mine came out of the estate of one of the execs.so out of the 5,only 2 have ever made it to the public.both are here in Cleveland.the other 3 are in the vaults of Navy Arms.mine is also the last one of the 5 in the serial number.not sure what my bottom line should be;but it will be a lot.

many thanks,
John
