Does anyone know how to remove the red bead off of the barrel , is it pressed in or screwed in I would like to replace it with a plain bead.

Should be threaded in.
Probably has a drop of loctite on it.

does anyone know how is a good way to shorten the length of pull on an I-12 synthetic stock without sacrificing the recoil system?

Or it maybe easier to use the bucket method.
