Carbon Fiber Raptor

First let me say that I love my 712 Raptor. However, when I bought it I seriously struggled with the idea of buying the Benelli Supersport. Why??? Because I really like the carbon fiber stock. Today I flipped past the 712 Raptor web page, only to find that my beloved raptor has now been joined by a carbon fiber stocked version. My coworkers from down the hall came running to see what was wrong, as I let out a reverberating NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :eek:

I guess I'm going to have to see if I can order the stock and fore arm set as replacement parts. ;)

Just a FYI...it's really not carbon fiber. Just an overlay decal like a camo finish. Same as the super sport. Think about it, the gun would cost 500 or 600 dollars more. Saw that when the finish came off a Super Sport and it's just a standard synthetic stock underneath.

Yup!!! I was really pissed when my Supersport showed up. I was expecting carbon fiber, and got plastic with a carbon fiber look, the pattern is simply light gold paint weave on the stock, with a satin clear coat.
As soon as you look at any non-exposed areas like the barrel channel or under the butt pad where they didn't continue the pattern it becomes instantly clear.
