Am looking at a Franchi SL Sport at my local dealer's as a skeet gun. Does anyone out there have experience with this shotgun? Looking for opinions about this gun and Franchi O/Us in general. Any problems with these guns doubling?

Would greatly appreciate any help. It's either a Franchi or a Browning Citori.....

THANKS. smile.gif

I've wanted a Citori since I was 13, so in many ways, it has always been a dream gun for me.
No experience, other than briefly handling them in the gunshops, but that alone has been enough to convince me...

When I do buy and O/U, it will be the Franchi.

Hi Buffnav - welcome to Benelli forums.

I've had my SL Sport going on 7-8yrs(?) now.. it's tried and true both in the field and shooting on course.

Buy what you like .. Citori's are good guns too but, not for me tho.

Fit and Feel first of all! Make that your priority!

I have the Veloce' Squire set too and no complaints or regrets here.

You'll have to go pick'em up and shoulder'em to get the full picture of course (do a side by side comparison with the Citoris) .. you'll find which one you like better real quick.

good luck in your quest

I just got the SL sport and love it. I felt it was the most gun for the price range, much nicer than the B guns in that range in my opinion. I also like the fact that I can get a 20ga barrels that fits for about $400. For the cost of the B guns you would get both a 12ga and a 20ga. The gun really is beautiful and fit me great. The cast works well for me too because I lift the gun and I am right in line. Good luck.
