Well its the second time I have had to send in my BRAND NEW 912. Its been there alittle over a month and they still havent looked at it. When they got it they told me that it was a 3 week wait period, talked to them today and now its a 8 week wait period LOL My brand new gun keeps jamming on 2 3/4 through 3 1/2's. I have shot quite a few differant loads through it and it doesnt seem to matter.....

Keep on 'em duky.. they're human too.

I'm not making excuses for 'em but, only so much time in a day ya know.

just keep 'em in check and I'd ask for some answers real quick or have them replace it..

the gun should work w/o a flaw!

good luck w/it

one other thing...

what shells are you using? manufacturer?

I have shot federal, winchester, remington in all differant load sizes. I would think that gun should be able to shoot all of those easy. I wouldnt think a gun that shoots 3 1/2's would jam. They talked like they where going to just replace it. I hope because I bought a new gun and I dont want a new gun with replacement parts in it.

keep us updated ..

one other thing, remember, its not the size of the hull .. its the 'punch' they pack.

the reason I asked about the shells is that I have an older wingmaster that will not eject 3" Remington hulls. Some times guns have their little 'quirks' ya know..

Well they sent it back last friday suppose to get it back tomm. I was suppose to be called when a gunsmith looked at but that didnt happen they said if I wasnt happy with it too just send it back and they will take care of me LOL! She said they put a new reciever in it. HMMMM Replacement parts in a new gun. Just dont like that idea when you buy something new they have to go putting parts in it. I am kinda frustrated that they had no record of me ever calling.

A replacement part is a new part that came off the same assembly line, and was made by the same tooling as all the other new parts. How do you think they make a new gun. They grab 1 part out of every bin and put them togeather. If they had sent you a brand new gun, it might have been the same replacement receiver along with 50 other brand new replacement parts.

DukY, I won't work there either, :D but there's nothing wrong with replacing parts, I just soon they would. I'm not going into my story about the 912 again, but I will say, even if you get a lemon they'll make it right. Or atleast the have in the past.

take it back to where you got it and get your money back.. let the dealer "deal" with it and get another gun.

New update. 8 of my friends and me went this afternoon and shot some clay targets. I shot 100 rounds out of my 912 and it locked up 22 times (WOW) well out of about 60 rounds after that I got tired of getting the jams out so I just shot 1 shell at a time. Just keepin ya updated.. :(

Hey dukY, I bought a brand new 912 about a month ago. I shot one round of trap with it and it fired everytime. It did, however only eject 2 shells. I had to manually eject and reload. I took it to a gunsmith and he said it needs to be broken in. He sold me a box of 3 1/2" turkey loads to pound thru it. I did that and it still wouldn't eject lighter loads. I shot a couple of boxes of old 3" steel loads thru it and the trigger mechanism broke. I had it set for light loads. Cost me $46 to get it repaired. Didn't know if I could trust the gun so I traded it in on a Benelli SBE. Very happy with that gun. I found the SBE at a really good price because the SBE II has replaced it. Still came with a full five year warranty. Have owned Benelli's in the past and they are an excellant gun. Good luck with your 912. I hope your confidence in the gun will not fail you when that tom with an 11" beard is standing in front of you and the gun doesn't fire. I didn't want to take that chance.
