I have just recieved my first franchi. The manual that came with the gun did not provide any instructions about disassembling/assembling the breech bolt and the magazine tube. Any ideas where can I get more detailed instructions than the manual?

I am looking for a complete, detailed inventory list over the contents of the case that came with the gun as well. It seems to be made room for some items that was not there when I opened the case. I have had this gun brought to me to Norway from USA by a friend, so it is not an option just to pop back to the gunstore and ask.

Don't know about the Franchis, but the Benellis come with a user's manual and a parts manual. The parts manual shows the breakdown of all components.
There is a Franchi dealer in Norway who may be able to help you.

I have already checked with the norwegian dealer, he had, in fact an exploded view of the gun which is helpful to some extent.
It does not say anything about the disassembling/assembling procedures though. That leaves me in the dark about warnings and do not's and do's, so I still would like to get hold of a description containing the procedures as well.

I bought a Franci and I've found that the Choke Bottles are missing (Except one) and the bottle of Oil was empty! (Well, neirly empty!, I think I've had about 6 squirts out of it before it went to puffing)

I got in touch with the Dealer, they said, "Well, everything that came with the gun is in the box. I got in contact with Frenchi and they said, "Contact your dealer"

I got dizzy going in circles.

Did Franchi give you a list over the contents in the box before they showed you back to the dealer?

About the dealer, I think it would have been a wise move to offer you a new bottle of oil. For them it would be a very low cost to keep a customer happy, and after all, happy customers is the most valuable asset for a dealer.

Franchi did send me a list but it was more along the lines of,

Modified choke, Full Choke, etc and not along the lines of 3 choke bottles, 5oz special Franci Oil, etc etc.

I dont' care about the oil, but the bottles were handy. And check out there barrel Brush. There's a waste of Plastic!

think of the oil as a 'start-up kit' .. they don't supply you with any cleaning patches do they? .. they should probably do that too. (joking with sarcasm there ;) tongue.gif ).

come on guys .. you're buying a gun.

If you need a 'service box' of goodies to come with it then I should take a look around at other manufacturers and see what they offer.

Most (generally speaking) people already own or buy a specific brand outside of a manufacturers name on the bottle..

Richard Morris-
As for the choke tube bottles
is this a O/U?

Blue Sun-
Are you still having 'A Time' finding a schematic with instructions?

Bought a 912 in December. Satisfied with it so far. I gave my 835 to my brother, so I sure hope the 912 fills my goose and turkey needs. Anyway, I think I missed some items you normally get with a new gun -- manual, choke wrench --. Dealer gave me a wrench, but said I should go to the website to download a manual.

The site is under development. Thankfully I found this forum because I didn't pay attention to where the o-ring goes and found it on the floor after my first disassembly. Took a guess at it and from posts on other thread managed to get it right.

My 612 came with a 16 gauge choke, Franchi sent me a replacement and then some after 1 phone call.

Awesome customer service!

What you get often has to do with HOW you ask... (Be nice!)
